Who are we?
The Murray County Humane Society is a non-profit organization of volunteers whose purpose is to provide shelter, food, and medical care to unwanted dogs and cats while trying to place them in loving, permanent homes.
We encourage you to have your animals checked by a veterinarian yearly to help stop the rampant spread of disease. Watching any animal suffer from a disease that could have been prevented is tragic.
What do we do?
Aside from placing pets in new homes, an important task of the Murray County Humane Society is educating the public in proper pet ownership.
Spaying and neutering your pet is essential to solving the pet overpopulation epedemic.
All animals from the shelter that are of age come spayed or neutered.
This is accomplished through donations, membership fees, and fundraising projects, such as bake sales, pancake breakfasts, and raffles.
How can you help?
Your donation helps to provide shelter, food, and veterinary care for animals in need. Love and time are given freely by our members.
We will gladly accept any of the following:
